This Plumb Craft Drum Auger offers a quality situation for your drain cleaning needs. It features a high-tensile spring wire with open boring head for clearing drains up to 2" in diameter. The spring wire is 15 ft. long and the cable is 1/4 in. diameter. This drain auger features a wind up handle and storage case. To use, pull the cable by hand out of case slowly. Feed it down the drain until you hit the clog. Then slowly rotate the handle to penetrate the clog. Once the clog is cleared, be sure to pull the cable fully out of the drain pipe, clean, wash and oil, then wind it back into the storage drum. Can effectively clear some clogs, but may not handle others.

Prone to kinking and bending, impacting performance.

Excellent little auger, high quality. Used to clean out a very slow draining shower drain that had not been cleaned in 25 years.

With a little work, was able to pull out a 3 foot long hideous smelly snake of twisted hair and soap scum that was clogging the pipes! Phew! Did it smell bad!!!

For $20, was able to save $200 that a plumber would have charged.

Get one if you have a similar problem!

My teenage son has loved this as a healthy snack since he was a toddler and my dog loves it so much too! Every time he or his stepdad eats it she gets all excited and starts to beg for some, but we have some that has no added that we give to her. Ask your vet before you give it to your dog, but my dog loves it all by itself and as a mix in with plain Greek yogurt, and so do my son and I too. It's yummy to add in with a cake mix for upside down cake, check recipes but it's pretty easy to make. However, tasty all on its own and really good for you too. Highly recommend this one for anyone who might want a low carb and low calorie snack that's easy, healthy and tasty too. Plus, the juice can be added to some Epsom salts and used as a body scrub in the shower for some serious glow power, just don't get it into your eyes! Pineapple is fantastic for you, tasty and has a million uses. This tidy four pack does the hard part for you by chopping, coring and skinning the fruit and you get the yummy juice too! All around, a winner.

Works good as it should; every house and apt should have one!  Save ALOT of cost for a plumber. It really clears it out where liquid plumber wouldn't after a while.

It worked.  Saved me time and money. The clog was not that far down past the u- sump maybe 2 or 3 feet. It worked. Now I can start dinner. Happy New Year walmart shoppers.

There are nicer ones out there but if this is what you can afford, it will get the job done. it saved us from having to get a plumber! just be aware that the spring is not attached so be careful near the end

this got stuck in the drain of our sink and its still there lol even then the plumber cant get it out unless he damages our sink  : ( so I can not give it even one word of praise super unhappy

the snake itself is so flimsy that it kinks and bends easily but doesn't flex back  so I had to continue trying to bend the snake cable straight to advance further down into the pipe. I'm  in my 50's and I have worked for a plumbing company and I've been doing my own plumbing work since I was a teenager. I've owned three other plumbers snake's in the past and I can definitely see and feel the difference in its inability for  use without breaking. The quality of this product wil leave you l disappointed !

I needed a new drum auger to replace my three old rusted out ones.  This new one looked great and, with shipping, it cost me almost $30 USD.  It arrived only a few days after I ordered it which was good.

It came in a floppy paper bad and a day or two after it arrived, I finally opened the bag.  That's when I noticed that the little piece on the end that has the thumb screw in it that locks the snake spring into place so it can be screwed down into a clogged drain was missing!  Without that piece, the item is useless.  There was no shipping receipt in the bag and no instructions for using the auger.  There is a website URL on the drum, however, where you can go a view a video on how to use the item.  Also, I never received a confirmation email after paying for the item!

I called the Walmart Customer Service toll free number and eventually talked with someone about it.  He was apologetic and promised that he would contact the company that made the auger and have them send me the missing piece.  If that was not possible, then Walmart would ship me a new replacement that had the piece.  He also asked me to return the defective one.  To do that, he was going to send me a self-adhesive return shipping label to put on the original bag used to ship it to me.  I was then to take it to my nearest UPS store and they would, at no cost to me, return it to Walmart.

That conversation was about two weeks ago and, so far, I have heard NOTHING from Walmart about this matter.  No missing part or full replacement was sent to me, no refund of my purchase price was made, and no return shipping label was snail mailed to me.

Now, if I don't hear anything about it in the next week, I will have to call again and, maybe, this time I will get some satisfaction.  A customer should not have to take HOURS to make a simple return of an item and if whoever had packed it for shipping had taken a few extra seconds to inspect it, he or she would have realized that it should not have been shipped and that would have saved everyone a lot of hassle.  Walmart needs to tighten up on their quality inspection of outgoing merchandise to make sure this kind of thing does not happen.

WHY did they send me a DEFECTIVE item?

I couldn't get it to push through the pipe-clog in toilet and the pipe of toilet, it didn't grab much of anything nor pushed through. pulled out a lint amount of tissue was all

The locking/pinning screw does not properly hold the snake cable when trying to spin/rotate the snake to clear a clog. Hence, the snake does nothing to clear the clog.
